Oct 2005 to Doctor-to-the-Barrios – Rural Health Physician

Oct 2007 Municipality of Concepcion, Province of Iloilo

      • Recipient of a Special Merit Award during the Recognition Rites for Doctors-to-the-Barrios on October 2007 in Cagayan de Oro City
      • Conducted clinical consultations at the Concepcion Rural Health Unit and in the island barangays of the municipality
      • Advocated health programs to barangay council members and conducted mother’s classes on population, health, and nutrition in 11 island barangays from February to June 2006
      • Conducted seminars on nutrition for mothers at the nutritionally-depressed barangays during Nutrition Month, July 2006
      • Supervised health operations and acute fuel oil toxicity surveillance and reporting when the August 2006 Guimaras Oil Spill affected five barangays in the municipality
      • Conducted project site orientations for the municipality’s Local Initiatives Towards Achieving the Millennium Development Goals Through an Integrated Population, Health, and Environment Program (Project LITA-MDG-PHE)
      • Organized and conducted the following capability enhancement activities from February to August 2007
      • Nutrition Advocacy and Community Mobilization Seminar for Barangay Nutrition Scholars
