Course: Agenda of Engagement and Involvement

Date: Wednesday 4th March 2009 09.30am-5pm

Location: Unit 2, Scion House, Cancer Care Research Centre

Cost: £175

Course tutors: Dr Liz Forbat and Dr Gill Hubbard

Participation in healthcare research, policy, planning and practice is considered central to best practice, and members of the public, whether as current, previous or future patients across Europe have been encouraged to get involved.

Course components include:

• Research evidence about rationales for the policy agenda of involvement and engagement

• Research evidence about barriers and facilitators to involving patients, carers and members of the public

• Research evidence about outcomes of involvement and engagement and whether or not it makes a difference

• Research evidence about how patients, carers and members of the public are involved and engaged

Who would be interested in attending?

Health and Social Care Staff, PFPI leads, Health Care Managers, Patient Experience NHS Leads.

How can I register? To register for the seminar please contact the Cancer Care Research Centre on 01786 849 260 or email cancercare@stir.ac.uk.
